Ing. Chris Neophytou, 43, received a MSc (Hons) degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1985 from Bratislava Technical University.

During 1985-1989 worked as a design and site project engineer for the Mechanical Services of several Building and Industrial projects in Cyprus.

In 1989 with his partner George Rialas, an Electrical Engineer, established Hiteco Ltd, an Engineering Consulting firm based in Limassol Cyprus with the scope to provide comprehensive engineering design and supervision services for the building and industrial sector.

Since 1993, Chris Neophytou participated in the design of industrial engineering projects in Saudi Arabia, developing additional areas of expertise including power, industrial fire protection systems, piping installations, water treatment and industrial utility systems.

During the last years he was involved in the design and supervision of several power plant extensions in Saudi Arabia (See reference projects). In particular he was fully responsible for the detailed engineering design of the following systems:

Fuel Oil Handling, Storage and Treatment

Site Utilities including process water, compressed air, chilled water industrial drainage etc.

Water Treatment Plant Engineering

Fire Fighting and Detection Systems according to NFPA standards

Gas Turbine Auxilliary Systems (Balance of Plant) engineering

Industrial Instrumentation & Control Systems

He is a member of NFPA since 1994 and was fully responsible for the design of several fire fighting Systems for Power Plants and other industrial projects.

Chris Neophytou has extensive expertise in Computer Design techniques and he has developed several computer programs for industrial design which are being used with success. He is responsible for the in house development of design software and the implementation of commercial building and plant design software.
